When the Reinhold and Christoph excavations started in the 18th century, they named it Kinder Schlitten a new Mitterhaaler. These two brothers died in a car crash and their remains were discovered on the place where they crashed. The name Kinder was given to the mountain by the two pilots who discovered it. It has been called by many different names including Rocky Mountain, Collie’s Peak and the Grandfather’s Hill. As the world got smaller during the industrial revolution, this mountain was one of the last places to be constructed. After World War II, the airfield was expanded and the local population included a lot of people from the United States, Canada, Germany and Japan.
There are many interesting facts about this place, the largest of which is that there is no longer a building on this mountain. That is because, as the world started to shrink, a lot of buildings started getting damaged in the process. The roads were built by U.S. soldiers during the war, but after the war was over, the roads were torn up and rebuilt, but the original homes were not moved. That is the reason why, when you visit Kinder, you can see that the houses still stand as they were built centuries ago, with stone structures and without modern conveniences like electricity or plumbing.
